Now that the holidays and all the hustle and bustle is over, I find that all I want to do is sit on the couch, wrap myself in a blanket and read a good book. Is that too much to ask for? I think that we could all use a little R&R after the stress of the holidays. How about some simple ways to pamper yourself this month! (Doesn’t that sound divine?)
- Give yourself a pedicure. Don’t you feel much better if your toes are painted? Try a new color or just simply paint them. It is amazing how much better you’ll feel afterward.
- Indulge in something! Whether you enjoy chocolate, cupcakes or a glass of wine (or all three), take some time to just indulge in something without feeling guilty!
- Buy some flowers. It is no secret how a pretty bouquet of flowers brightens up a room. Pick up some at your local farmers market or in the flower section of your grocery store. You will smile every time you see them.
- Do something nice for yourself. Take a little time for you. Buy yourself a new accessory. Rent that movie you’ve wanted to watch. Go get a massage. You deserve it.
By doing just a few simple things, we can reduce stress, put a smile on our face, and enjoy the time we have to spend with our families. Don’t forget yourself this month!
